    About the Speakers:

     

    Chad Arceneaux

    Chad Arceneaux is an attorney with the law firm of Eisenhower Carlson PLLC where his law practice focuses on employment law, business law, real estate law, and civil litigation. Mr. Arceneaux’s employment law practice includes handling the full range of employment law issues – from advising businesses regarding Title VII, ADA, wage & hour, and other compliance issues; to drafting policies, employment agreements, and non-compete / non-solicit agreements; to investigating and litigating discrimination and other employment law related claims. Before joining Eisenhower Carlson, Mr. Arceneaux served the citizens of Washington as a Washington State Trooper, and upon becoming a lawyer, he worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Pierce County where he tried numerous cases to verdict.  He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.  Mr. Arceneaux earned his B.A. degree from the University of Washington, and his J.D. degree (cum laude) from Seattle University School of Law.

     

    Jeffrey G. Curnutt

    Jeff is an attorney with the law firm Thorson Barnett & McDonald, where his practice emphasizes counseling public and private employers, trustees and other plan fiduciaries in employee benefit and related tax matters.

     

    Jeff works with both defined benefit and defined contribution plans, including 401(k) and profit sharing plans, 457 plans, ESOPs and 403(b) annuities. He advises clients on a range of issues including day to day operational matters as well as issues relating to plan termination, withdrawal and termination liability, mergers and the spinoff of plan assets. In addition, he regularly helps plan sponsors correct a wide variety of operational and plan document failures under IRS and Department of Labor correction procedures and consults on ERISA litigation matters.

     

    Jeff received both his Juris Doctor and an LL.M in taxation from the University of Washington. In a prior life, Jeff spent 15 years in the commercial aviation industry where he worked primarily in labor relations and operations. He is a Seattle native and currently lives in Auburn with his wife and two daughters.

    Please be sure to register on or before the close of business on Monday, January 16th (4:00pm) to be eligible for the early bird discount ($15.00) and to assist us in ensuring that we have an adequate number of hand-outs as well as enough space and food for all our guests. On-line registration will close on Tuesday, January 17th at 12:00 PM.

    Late registrations must register at the meeting and pay the late fee at the door. As a reminder, if you need to cancel, please cancel your registration via email no later than 4:00 PM Monday, January 176h to avoid excess charges for no-shows.
