We are launching a Spring 2026 Study Group!
- SPS SHRM facilitates a study group for SPS SHRM Members interested in taking the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams.
- There is no cost for the study group; however, participants are highly encouraged to purchase the SHRM Certification Prep System through the local study group, as the study group is based around these modules. Normally, the cost of the SHRM Learning System for SHRM members is $1020 for the online access and printed books plus tax and shipping, or $820 plus tax for online access only. Participants of the INSHRM study group can purchase the SHRM Certification Prep System at significant discount for $615.00 plus tax and shipping.
- Study group sessions include a review and discussion of the SHRM Certification Prep System modules, provide you with general information about the exam, various ways to prepare for the exam, what to expect, practice exams, useful websites/tools, etc.
- Study group sessions are typically held virtually on a weekday evening, ex: Wednesdays from 5:30PM-7:30PM. Participants come to each meeting prepared, having read and studied the material to be discussed beforehand.

registration deadline of March 30, 2026 and regular registration deadline of May 26,

The South Puget Sound SHRM Chapter’s mission is to develop and connect South
Sound Human Resource professionals by providing strategic and practical tools and
resources. SPS SHRM takes pride in supporting its members in their professional
growth and are leaders in all aspects of human resources. Achieving and maintaining
professional certification in Human Resources is one way for HR professionals to
elevate their standing in the profession. To encourage professional development of its
members and to recognize the efforts of members to further their careers in the Human
Resources field, the SPS SHRM has established a certification scholarship given out
twice a year.
Scholarship funds may be used to purchase test preparation materials, attend a certification preparation seminar, and/or pay the exam fee. This scholarship is a one-time award. Previous applicants are eligible to apply. Additionally, previous scholarship recipients may apply if pursuing an additional certification.
How to Apply: If you are an SPS SHRM chapter member and can provide verification of
registration for SHRM Certification Exam complete the scholarship application.
