Study Sessions for 2011 Exams
If you’re looking to take the PHR or SPHR exam in 2011, then this study session is for you. A group of HR professionals will be meeting weekly to review information and study for the 2011 exams. These sessions will be self-ran and informal and will be a great learning opportunity for everyone. Please feel free to join the group anytime you are available and bring with any study materials you might have. Please feel free to extend this invite to anyone else who might be interested.
Dates: Tuesdays (starting January 18th)

Is it time for you to re-certify for your PHR or SPHR?
Here are some ways to earn re-certification points:
- Our monthly chapter meetings will usually give you one re-certification point. The monthly program announcement will tell you if the program has been authorized for a re-certification point.
- Visit HRCI's online searchable directory of approved events.
- Go to the NHRMA conference that is offered every fall to earn over 12 points
- Go to the Washington State Council’s Legal update in the Spring
- Go to the SHRM’s national conference. If you take all the early bird sessions and the pre-conference workshops you can get up to 21 re-certification points
- SHRM offers a number of other conferences throughout the year and the majority of the conferences will give you re-certification points
- Take an HR related class at a local community college or university. For every hour in class you will receive one re-certification points.
- Offer to teach a class or be a speaker at a conference. For every hour you speak you get points.
- Volunteer on the South Puget Sound chapter board.
- Take an on-line class through SHRM.
