    Summary:

    This is a great overview for anyone who is unfamiliar with WA workers compensation or needs a refresher. We will provide a quick overview of what makes Washington workers compensation different from other states and how this system can be good and bad for employers depending on the situation.  We will explore the controls that employers have and the opportunities there are to save money and get refunds.

      Learning Objectives:

      Participants will be able to:

      • Understand the nuances of Labor and Industries and Workers' Compensation in Washington
      • Get up to speed on what businesses should know to help them stay in control and save money
      • Review the most important processes and practices that businesses should implement in regards to risk mitigation

      About the Speakers:

      Ashlee is one of ERNwest’s Performance Specialists who works with our Retro groups. She is an expert in workers’ compensation, Labor and Industries and retrospective rating, helping employers implement money saving strategies and programs.  Ashlee has worked with Washington State Retro Workers’ Compensation since 2004, performing many roles including administration, claims management and group management.  Ashlee is born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys spending her free time in the outdoors.

      Andrew is the RETRO coordinator for ERNwest. His role is to help educate companies on the benefits and requirements of participating in RETROSPECTIVE Rating programs in Washington State. He works through an educational process that allows individuals to break down unfamiliar ideas and turn them into cost saving strategies. As a native to the Pacific Northwest, Andrew enjoys being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with his family.
