    Dear Members and Guest,

    LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER!

Please join us for this months program offering; Talent vs. Dollar: Compensation and Benefits Strategies under Budget Pressure.  This program is designed for mid-level and upper management involved in strategic planning. Managing compensation and benefits expenditure is at the top of executive agendas in most organizations across all industries. When outright cuts are no longer a viable option, a thoughtful strategy is required.  This session will examine the effective management of compensation and benefits tactics and best practices employed by companies that successfully manage cost while achieving strategic talent recruitment and engagement goals.  We will analyze current market trends and strategies for reducing employer costs and total compensation packages that will assist in the recruitment and retention of a quality workforce to include; base pay, incentives pays, pay equity, job classification and general HR strategies designed to mitigate the impact of compensation increases.

Our Guest Speakers: Kevin Cipoletti is Area Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Gallagher Benefit Services of Washington, an employee benefits consulting practice serving more than 600 employers.   Kevin is an expert in employee wellness, benefits technology, employee benefits, and is an astute observer of health benefit trends and issues.  Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado.  His speaking experience includes the NHRMA conference and Best Employers in WA panel.  Devin Grdinic is a Senior Consultant with the firm Fox Lawson & Associates, a Division of Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc.  Having supported organizations in both the public and private sectors, Devin brings a unique perspective to the compensation challenges facing HR professionals. Following a mantra of “there are no right or wrong solutions, just good ones and bad ones”, Devin has guided over 100 organizations through some of their most difficult compensation issues. He specializes in the areas of job evaluation, compensation, pay equity, workforce planning and statistical analysis.  Devin is an active member of the International Public Management Associate for Human Resources, and WorldatWork, and has published compensation and human resources research with these organizations.

We hope that you and your guest(s) will join us for this strategic planning session and benefit greatly from the ideas that are shared in an attempt to help employers migitate the impact of cost increases in light of budget reductions and increased layoffs.  Please be sure to register on-line before the Monday, November 14th deadline (4:00pm) to take advantage of the early bird discount ($5).  If you must cancel your reservation, please do so before Monday's deadline to recieve a refund.  To cancel, please email Jon Orozco, Guest Services, at jonorozco@gmail.com.  Please note that Sabrina, Nancy and I will be out of town starting Wednesday for the Leadership Conference and without access to phone or email during our flights on Wednesday so be sure to direct your inquiries to Jon if needed.
