     Program Overview:  This program offering is titled

    "How to Hire Veterans:  Resources Available to Employers "

    This program will help you gain information as to how to hire veterans for your companies plus resources available to you as an employer.  Learn how to become a mentor for veterans looking for employment and how to host hiring events to include veterans and their families.

    About the Speakers:

    Mike Tassin is the Veterans Service Manager at the Goodwill.  He is a licensed Marraige and Family Therapist associate and has worked in the not for profit sector since 2009 assisting in employment and mental health.  Mike holds an AAS degree from Pierce College in Social Services and Mental Health, a BA in Human Services from Western Washington University and a masters degree in Psychology with emphasis in Marraige and Family Therapy from Chapman University.  His is also a disabled veteran from the US Army.

    Robin Baker is the transition service manager at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.  In this capacity she manages the Armed Forces Career and Alumni Program (ACAP) which provides extensive counseling and training for Service Members up to 24 months prior to and 6 months following separation from active duty service. Robin served almost 10 years on active duty as a human resource officer before transitioning to her current position.  She continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve as an instructor for the Adjutant General Captain’s Career Course in South Carolina.Robin earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Central Washington University and her Master's Degree in Education from Cameron University.

    We hope that you and your guests will join us once again for another wonderful program offering on Thursday, April 17th  2014 from 7:30 - 9:15am. Our guest speakers have some great information to share with our members and guests and we appreciate their willingness to present to our chapter. We hope you share our enthusiasm and will be there to welcome them to our chapter.

    Information on Registration:

    Please be sure to register on or before the close of business on Monday, April 14thth (4:00pm) to be eligible for the early bird discount ($5.00) and to assist us in ensuring that we have an adequate number of hand-outs as well as enough space and food for all our guests. On-line registration will close on Monday, March 17th at 4:00 PM.

    Late registrations must register at the meeting and pay the late fee at the door. As a reminder, if you need to cancel, please cancel your registration via email no later than 4:00 PM Monday, April 14th to avoid excess charges for no-shows.
