    Dear SHRM Members and Guests:

Please join us for an exciting presentation with
William (Billy) Hobson of Brown & Brown Insurance
Program Overview:  This program offering is titled
"Understanding Workers Compensation and Your Experience Modification Factor"

Companies in the state of Washington spend millions of dollars annually on Workers Compensation, and very few understand how the Workers Compensation system works. Our program will aim to educate employers on how they can work to control the cost of Workers Compensation through numerous avenues.

This program will focus on several factors which effect the overall cost of Workers Compensation. More specifically we will discuss Payroll Exclusions, Experience Modification Factors, Reserves, Claims, Job Classification Codes, Return to Work Programs, Frequency vs Severity, Maximum Medical Improvement, etc. Furthermore we will discuss the difference between Monopolistic States, NCCI States and Independent States in regards to the calculation of a client’s modification factor.
