    with

    Ben Eckhart

Employment and Labor Attorney, Workplace Law Group

    Summary:

Prepare for the year ahead with our comprehensive overview of the key legal changes and updates impacting Washington employers in 2025. While the future holds uncertainties, significant shifts are on the horizon, including more employer-friendly regulations in wage and hour, labor, and non-compete laws. We’ll explore the implications of the SCOTUS 2024 Loper Bright decision and its potential to empower employers in combating regulatory overreach by agencies such as the DOL, NLRB, and FTC.

At the state level, we’ll discuss new laws addressing minimum wage increases, drug testing, Washington Paid Sick Leave, and the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act (EPOA). The course will also highlight recent court decisions and provide actionable guidance for handbook updates to ensure compliance and readiness for the year ahead. Join us for this essential briefing designed to equip employers with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate 2025 with confidence.
