    Stress-Busting Practices for HR:

Staying Centered during the End-of-Year Crunch Time

    with

    Paula Rosecky

Professional Development Coach, Paula Rosecky & Company

    Summary:

This workshop will focus on understanding the origins of stress, anticipating potential stressors during the busy season, and providing practical tips to reduce stress and create more ease at work and in life. We will begin with an introduction to mental fitness, which involves strengthening three critical mental muscles to shift the balance of power from inner Saboteurs (negative self) to your inner Sage (positive self). This session is designed to help HR professionals develop strategies to manage their stress effectively and support their teams during high-pressure times, such as the holiday season.

Participants will engage in self-reflection exercises to become aware of their stressors, participate in small group discussions to share strategies and learn mindfulness techniques to stay present and reduce stress. The workshop will include peer coaching sessions where participants will receive personalized feedback and support from fellow HR professionals. By the end of this workshop, attendees will have practical tools to manage stress and a supportive network of peers.

      Learning Objectives:

      Participants will be able to:

      • Understand the anatomy of stress and its impact on the brain and body.
      • Learn practical stress reduction techniques, including mindfulness, prioritization, and setting boundaries.
      • Engage in peer coaching to develop personalized stress management strategies.
      • Leave with actionable techniques to create a more balanced work environment during busy seasons.

Doors open at 7:30 for breakfast and networking conversations!

This program is pending approval for 1.0 PDCs toward SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® recertification and 1.0 General Credit through HRCI.
